How Domoxen 500 Tablet works
Domoxen 500 contains two medicines that work in different ways.
Naproxen Sodium is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It blocks cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, which reduces the production of prostaglandins involved in pain and inflammation. This helps reduce migraine-related pain.
Domperidone is an antiemetic and prokinetic medicine. It blocks dopamine receptors involved in nausea and vomiting and also helps improve movement of the stomach.
Together, the two ingredients help manage both migraine pain and associated nausea/vomiting .
If you miss a dose
Domoxen 500 is generally taken when prescribed for an acute migraine attack rather than as a regular daily medicine.
If your doctor has prescribed it on a regular schedule and you miss a dose, take it when you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose.
Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
